The GMTA Safety Management Council returned to Lake Lanier Islands for its annual Georgia Truck Driving Championships. The competition hosted 190 professional drivers and more than 500 friends, families and co-workers.
Each year, the GMTA Safety Management Council recognizes the best professional drivers in Georgia. In addition to the 24 first, second and third place class winners of the Georgia Truck Driving Championships, the Safety Management Council recognizes special individuals and teams for accomplishments as well. This year two awards, the Team Champions and the Written Exam Champion, were named for two dedicated veterans of the Georgia Truck Driving Championships: Clifford Williams and Inez West.
